We covered the 23 Kms long arduous terrain 30% by road in our super jeep and 70% by walk.
From ‘Skogafoss’ we drove through roadless paths and stopped the jeep at ‘Baldvinsskali’ from where it was impossible to drive. From here all the way to ‘langiladur’ was a once in a lifetime experience!.
There were many death-defying stretches between the two normal volcanoes “Eyjafjnallajokull’ and ‘Katla’.
The trekking lasted almost 3 hours covering over 8 Kms! Took our own time taking photographs and enjoying the nature’s wonders..
